When I worked in the newsroom, I was at my best: I am curious about the events and society, asking and investigating the perspectives of different parties to tell a story of facts with weighted judgement in the interest of the public.

Fine Art / Photography

Pursuing my calling in photography, I moved to New York to study fine art in Pratt Institute. To me, photography is a super power to tell a story of beauty and wonders with composition and curation. This super power requires crafts to tell a story with a form fitting to the content to keeps the viewers intrigued and following.

Product Design

Product design and art making share things in common in the process. Starting with analytic thinking: I’d map out the causation of all the events, understand the motives of the parties, and orchestrate a narrative keeping the viewers engaging.

The Intersection of Crafts and Business

I found all the fun to be had in product design: my artistic obsession with graphic layout and flows, the detective work in sorting out the clues, an iterative process tuning to customer’s feedback, and wizardry-like analytics seeing measurable results as designed. This practice is the intersection of art, engineering, psychology, and business.
